My name is Lloyd Edgar, I’m a documentary director and editor based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
My latest project was a BBC-commissioned documentary following the incredible journey of Royal Ballet Principal Ballerina Melissa Hamilton. This follows my recent work creating a series of nature films for Channel 5 called Love Nature, and my directorial debut: Chasing Gold.
Alongside my own projects, I’m a multi-disciplinary filmmaker for hire. I regularly work across TV and commercial productions as an editor, camera operator, drone pilot, and motion graphics designer. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with leading production companies like Fine Point, CleanSlate, Ronin Films, Triplevision, and Afro-Mic, establishing myself as a versatile hand on any set.

Principal Ballerina (2026)
Directed by Lloyd Edgar, this documentary follows Melissa Hamilton as she embraces her new title of Principal Dancer of the most esteemed dance company in the world - The Royal Ballet.
Commissioned by the BBC for inclusion in its 'Our Lives' strand, the film is set to broadcast on BBC One, February 23rd.
